Barton Springs Pool - This a natural pool which is fed by underground springs. The temperature is always between 68-70 degrees F, so it's a perfect place to go on a hot summer day. The website has the pool schedule.

Deep Eddy Pool - Deep Eddy Pool is the city's oldest man-made swimming pool. It's fed by the same spring that feeds Barton Springs Pool, so the temperature is also cool year-round. A great place in the summer!

Waller Creek - A new conservation project project promises to make this place one of the best in Austin. The leader of this project is Peter Mullan, one of the people responsible for the High Line Park in New York City. The creek runs from north of the UT campus through downtown into Lady Bird Lake.

Zilker Park - This park is located at the spot where Barton Creek and the Colorado River come together. It’s 350 acresof public land and is home to Barton Springs Pool, Zilker Botanical Garden, Austin Nature and Science Center, the Zilker Hillside Theater, and many sports fields and trails. It has concerts and events all year.
