English is a tool to defend and expose your beliefs. |
By Sara Abdo 5/20/19 Life goes beyond eat and breathe, and as you grow up, society expects you to own ideas and good jobs. Due to that, you might be respected for relatives and, who knows, also for the international community. However, an important note remembers: as you were created in a culture, others developed theirselves in different costumes and languages. To occupy your space in the world and practice your ideas, then, you need to communicate your sakes and desires. How? The management of English empowers you to say what you want to whoever and in wherever you wish. Especially for the ones who intend to travel, discuss and be integrated with the international community, English is as tough as required. This language is similar with any else, and for most people extra effort is necessary in order to, at least, not get struggle when talking to someone. The good news is that the issue is rewarding in every single time that you disagree with someone and make your opinion listened just because you could express yourself in other part of the world. Or, even better, when you join yourself to others and support their ideas because it is important for you, also. |
By Junia Freitas - 2/18/19 I have a dream of living abroad when I retire. I have not picked the country I want to live in yet, but it will probably be one where English is spoken, fortunately, there are a lot of options. Many years ago I studied English, and now I want to develop my English to travel around the world and to visit my daughter, who lives in US. So, I decided to spend a couple of months studying English at Aston International Academy in Austin, TX. I think that was a good decision because I am discovering new problems, getting advice from teachers, and practicing daily. I am seeing what I have been doing correctly and learning just as I go. The teachers, the directors, and their staff have all been helpful and kind. The classes help us learn in different ways - we use books, play games, watch movies, have presentations for our colleagues, go to museums, just to name a few activities. I’m really having fun and enjoying the courses! When I go back to Brazil, I will keep practicing with the tools I have learned at Aston International Academy. The next time I travel to another country, I know that my English will be better! |
