Cancellation and Refund Policy and Procedure You must pay a registration fee with your application. This fee is non-refundable. Tuition fees are sometimes fully refundable and sometimes partially refundable. It depends on the situation: If you pay for Early Enrollment: A. Tuition and materials fees are non-refundable after you start classes. B. You may have a 75% refund on tuition and materials if you cancel in writing 30 days or more before the start of your program. This refund does not include the registration fee. C. You may have a 50% refund on tuition if you cancel in writing three weeks before the start of your program. D. If you cancel less than three weeks before the start date, you cannot have a refund.
If you pay by your first day and pay on a payment plan: A. Tuition and materials fees are non-refundable after you start classes. B. You may have a 50% refund on tuition and materials if you cancel in writing two weeks or more before the start of your program. C. If you cancel less than two weeks before the start date, you cannot have a refund.
If AIA has to cancel a program or transfer you to another school because a program is cancelled, AIA will refund 100% of unused tuition and materials fees.
You may not get a refund if AIA terminates your I-20 because you violated AIA’s policies or U.S. laws.
If you paid your tuition to an agent, you need to follow the agent’s rules for refunds.
