Lynn was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, but made it to Texas as fast as she could! She has been working for Aston International Academy since 1996. Lynn is a former co-director/owner of the school, and current teacher of IEP and TOEFL-iBT preparation. Lynn holds a BA in Linguistics, a BA in French, and an MA in Linguistics from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She also holds an MA in TESL from the University of Texas at Austin. Lynn loves teaching English! She speaks French and a little bit of Spanish. Her hobbies include playing violin, running, reading, drawing, lifting weights, and gardening. When she's not busy, she likes to relax at home with her husband and her two kitties.
PAT CARDENASPat was born right here, in Austin and has been teaching ESL for 13 years. He got his degree in English from Virginia Commonwealth University and lived on the East Coast for 15 years. He has lived in Virginia and Pennsylvania. He loves teaching because he loves to meet new people and show his love for language. He enjoys, cooking, reading, running and traveling.
MARGARET LIBERSATMargaret Libersat is a semi-retired language teacher from deep in the heart of Texas. Growing up in south Texas, Margaret learned Spanish on the border and spending time in Mexico. She went on to earn a BA in Spanish from the University of Texas and an MA from Middlebury College in Madrid. As a career teacher, Margaret taught high school Spanish and ESL in Pennsylvania and Texas as well as abroad. She’s lived and traveled in Europe, Southeast Asia, South and Central America and speaks Spanish, a bit of French and a smaller bit of Malayalam. Besides teaching English at Aston, Margaret is also an ESL tutor and copy editor for clients online and around Austin. Fun for Margaret is spending time with her family, and writing music.
