Health Insurance

AIA does not require students to have health insurance.  However, we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to purchase a health insurance plan. If you do not have insurance, the cost to visit a doctor or hospital or buy prescription medications in the US is VERY expensive. It is much less expensive to purchase insurance.

It is easiest to buy a health insurance plan in your country before you come to the US.  Ask for an international plan, a travel plan, or a plan that will cover international students.  Be sure that the plan will work for you in the US.
